While so many people seem to be quitting their jobs to chase social media full-time, I’m incredibly grateful for my 9-to-5 work-from-home (WFH) job. I work as a graphic designer for a professional sports league, so having a comfy, efficient, and ergonomic home office setup has been essential for me. I had a short window between accepting the job and my start date, so I needed to pull together a functional workspace quickly.
Luckily, Amazon has so many great options for building your home office that are affordable, have fast shipping, and are surprisingly stylish. I got my entire core setup from there and was able to start my new job stress-free. Over a year later, I’m still using many of the same components in my WFH office!
Here’s a breakdown of what I use and love, plus a few things I’m still on the hunt for to complete my perfect cozy home office setup. And if you want to see all of these products in one place, check out my WFH Setup on my Amazon Storefront.
Standing Desk
Besides my computer, this glass-top standing desk is the bread and butter of my WFH setup. For a standing desk, it’s gorgeous and not clunky or overly “classroom” looking. I love the sleek design. I use both the standing and sitting presets and challenge myself to stand during all my video meetings throughout the day.
Speaking of standing, this topographic anti-fatigue mat has made a huge difference for my feet and my focus. It has different elevation zones to keep your feet moving, plus a center ridge that doubles as a mini foot massage. Game-changer.
As someone who can’t sit still, this desk chair is perfect for me. It moves up and down and reclines, and the headrest adjusts to keep your posture perfect. The cushion and armrests keep me comfortable all day long. The best feature on this chair is the footrest that pulls out and can be adjusted. I love to sit cross-legged or totally recline with my legs extended - it’s a game changer!
My job gave me a laptop, but no external monitor. This gold laptop stand keeps my screen at eye level and prevents me from hunching over. It has great ventilation and folds flat for easy storage or travel.
Okay, this Logitech vertical mouse might be the MVP of my office accessories. Traditional mice make my hand cramp up fast, but I can use this one all day without issue. It has excellent battery life, can pair with up to three devices, and comes in both right- and left-handed versions (lefties, rejoice! Though we do get fewer color options, sigh).
This wireless Magic Keyboard is a must for my posture and desk ergonomics. It’s compatible with my MacBook Pro, holds a charge forever, and keeps my typing experience smooth and streamlined.
Cable Organization & Cable Holders
I can’t stand cables and wires everywhere, so I use this below-desk cable organizer and these adhesive cable holders to hold my standing desk cord and all of my charger cables. Super easy to install, and stays out of the way when I’m sitting at my desk!
This small desk lamp has been with me since college. It’s the perfect soft lighting addition to my workspace and brings a little nostalgia into my daily grind.
There’s still work to do…
My home office wall has an awkward combo of a Wi-Fi box and breaker panel, and I’m still on the hunt for the perfect piece of art to fill the space. But overall, this setup has truly made WFH more productive and enjoyable! Comment below if you have any questions, and check out my entire Amazon Storefront here!
